Q. How did you begin your career as a stylist?
A. My career started with an invigorating design course, followed by work experience and assisting other inspiring stylists until I landed by first full-time styling role.
Q. What are some of the challenges you’ve faced as a stylist?
A. Boot space, and storage. A stylist always needs more of both!
Q. What tips would you give to an intern on an editorial shoot or residential install?
A. Ask your head stylist what you should expect on the day, how you can help them and prepare accordingly. Being well prepared will get you one step closer to becoming an impressive intern who your head stylist recommends to others for work.
On the day wear comfortable clothing and soft soled shoes to protect flooring. Plan for the experience as though you are moving houses, a kit of delicious and healthy protein fuelled snacks can be a saviour on these days too!
Q. What are the three top interior trends for 2019?
A. My three trends would have to be
Terrazzo Terrazzo Terrazo!
Clam spaces that indulge in sublte hues, rounded edges and rich yet understated textures.
Smart small space living, think multi-purpose furniture and clever interior design that helps maximise the ‘living’ in a small space.
