Women are far more likely to be sexually assaulted in unisex facilities. There are children in there. Last year, statistics revealed the majority of reported sexual assaults at swimming pools in the UK take place in unisex changing rooms.
I'm travelling to Reykjavik over Easter with my 10 year old daughter and she doesn't want to go alone in to the changing rooms to shower naked. Are there any family or unisex changing facilities so I can accompany her? I'm a bit concerned and really want her to experience the hot pots but understand her reluctance to do so alone.

I thought I had understood the instructions of the kind receptionist lady on how to get to the changing room. I opened the door, ran into a guy in boxers, mumbled an apology, turned around as fast as I could and closed the door firmly behind me. I looked around.
I thought of this in the locker room today. But as homosexual lifestyle becomes more socially acceptable then doesn't that introduce an element of sexual tesnion at least for some into the unisex locker room. I mean, if we can have fags and lesbians in the locker room who will find people sexually desirable why not scrap the wholel thing.
