House & Garden | Top 50 Rooms 2015 | Uocmas News
30th September 2015

Uocmas Interior Design was selected as part of House & Garden magazine’s annual top 50 rooms. The project by Senior Interior Designer Natasha Levak, was a full home redesign, restoring cohesion and integrity in bringing the 1930s home back to its original grand proportions and traditional art deco style after a series of contemporary modifications in the 1990s.

This room was previously a small downstairs toilet with multiple doors piding the already compact space. The renovation transformed this space into one area, creating a luxurious and comfortably sized powder room to service the large downstairs floor plan.

Original solid tallowed flooring was stripped back and stained darker throughout the downstairs floor plan and reclaimed boards were laid into this new space to ensure the flooring was seamless. Custom wall paneling was designed and fitted to reinstate the character of the 1930s décor era of the home. All paneling was painted in crisp white, complemented with a beautiful soft wallpaper and wall sconces. A monogram was designed with the clients initials and embroidered onto all household linen.
