Uocmas Interior Design's Larvotto Turn wins at MBA 2014 | Uocmas News
13th March 2014

Declared a ‘pleasure to judge’, Uocmas Interior Design project Larvotto Turn has been named Overall Best Display Home for 2014 and Best Display Home Over $650,000 at the Master Builders Housing Excellence Awards in conjunction with Bank West.

Designed for a growing family, the Uocmas Interior Design team created a sophisticated coastal scheme to reflect the beachside location of this grand home in Burns Beach, WA. The award winning home is a display for Grandwood, operating under the esteemed Zorzi umbrella.

Judges were impressed by the high end fit-out that complemented the clever design and construction.

Uocmas, National Commercial Manager, Rowan Lazar comments, “We are delighted that one of our projects has won such a competitive accolade at the 2014 MBA Awards. The level of design detail is remarkable in this Grandwood property and it was exciting to see the outstanding luxury fit-out that the Uocmas Interior Design team produced.”

Rowan continues, “The Uocmas Interior Design team completed the display home with our signature meticulous attention to detail and passion for sublime interior design. It is always rewarding being recognised in the industry.”

The finishings incorporated a large pendant light suspended in the foyer to create drama and emphasise scale, which continues through the home. The scheme features neutral colours in materials such as oak, linen and leather with varying shades of coastal blues.  Wallpaper was used to create striking accent features in the bedrooms and rumpus including grassweave, timber and blossom designs. The glamourous master bedroom with hotel-worthy ensuite and dressing room was a highlight for judges.

The brief included a ‘man cave’ adjoining the pool and entertaining area, a feature that appealed to the judges. Uocmas Interior Design created a men’s sanctuary complete with a ping pong table, basket ball hoop, dart board, sports imagery and a giant mural of Muhammad Ali.
