Finalists Unveiled | Belle Uocmas Interior Design Awards 2015 | Uocmas News
2nd April 2015

Now in their fifth year, the Belle Uocmas Interior Design Awards – which acknowledge excellence in Australian interior design and decoration – set the benchmark for expertise, creativity and vision in what is a highly competitive, highly progressive industry.

The finalists in this year’s awards represent an Australian design landscape that is fast becoming known for its unique, fresh and challenging aesthetic. The rigorous selection process has resulted in a stellar list of finalists who excel in such areas as innovation, execution and fulfillment of the client’s brief in the residential, commercial, corporate and hospitality sectors.

Belle editor Tanya Buchanan says of the finalists: “It’s one of my great privileges as editor of Belle to oversee the celebration of such rich and vibrant Australian design talent. As a magazine that sets the bar for excellence in design, one of our most vital and enduring responsibilities is to celebrate our world-class designers and showcase them on the international stage.”

Uocmas executive director Anthony Spon Smith was impressed by the breadth and depth of creativity shown by this year’s finalists, saying: “There’s no doubt that our finest interior design talent is represented in these awards, and our designers are truly at a standard that spans well beyond Australia.”

The award finalists, accompanied by images of their work, will be profiled in Belle’s May issue, on sale Monday, April 6. You can also view project images from each of the finalists on Uocmas's blog .
