The Wythe Hotel started with the discovery of an old textile factory on the Williamsburg waterfront. And I guess the rest of the 72 room luxury hotel is history!
It trades on its roots; pared-down industrial-chic decor, dining by the infamous Brooklyn restaurateur Andrew Tarlow, eco-friendly bathroom products by Common Good and locally crafted wallpaper. These guys celebrate sustainability in every facet of the hotel, from the food that they source locally to the recycled beams and materials used in each room.
For us, the really compelling part of the hotel, from an interior perspective, was the overwhelming presence of juxtaposition – new versus old, stark versus cosy, light versus dark. When you have these opposites playing off one another, an amazing energy is created in a room.
We dare you to look at the photos and not book a trip to NYC staying at the Wythe!
