Whilst in New York, I like to find inspiration in the many great hotels the city has to offer. And last month, I found a killer – The Bowery.
The Bowery hotel brings the warmth of a classic European hotel to New York’s most intriguing neighbourhood. The gritty Bowery hood was once home to punks, artists and rule breakers, but has since changed its tune, filled now with independent boutiques, classy restaurants and the New Museum of Contemporary Art. A stone’s throw from Soho and Broadway, the area is all that I love about New York, with a bustling sidewalk energy that never ceases to inspire.
Most evenings, I would walk back to The Bowery’s lobby bar packed deep into the night with guests relaxing on antique furniture by the stone fireplace. It was the perfect respite from New York’s hustle and bustle.
Suited to both the busy traveller and the holidaymaker, The Bowery is my new favourite hotel in New York. I’ll be back for sure.
