Every time Christmas comes around, my suddenly becomes clogged with all manner of festive décor ideas; Christmas trees crafted out of balloons, DIY wreaths cut out of paper, feather covered baubles hung off a single twig branch on a table. It’s overwhelming, but always a favourite task of mine picking the direction I want to take my home for the festive season.
Last year, I was all about minimal decorating, keeping it simple, neutral and a little Scandinavian.
This year, I’m all about stars.
A humble symbol of celebration, and just enough of a link to the traditional Christmas story, the star is the perfect discreet yet stylish holiday season decoration. I’m undecided yet how I’m going to execute the stars at home: I really like the large multi point stars hanging in a cluster or amoung picture frames, and I am a big fan of the oversized twig star idea below.
Which one do you think I should do?
