Song Qi by Alan Yau

Set on the esteemed Avenue Princess Grace, is proving to be the culinary trailblazer of the design world.

Monaco’s first fine dining Chinese restaurant is opulence, embodied. With silky green banquettes and chairs, graphic marbled floors and refined brass finishings as far as the eye can see, Song Qi by Alan Yau boasts a regal quietness reserved only for the dynasties of a Chinese Golden Age.

Headed by the Michelin Star chef responsible for the innovative Hakkasan and Yauatcha restaurants, Song Qi fairs a flair for the mid-century modern while tastefully nodding, (both in menu and design) to the oriental decadence of the ancient Song dynasty.

Famed designers Humbert and Payet left no fine detail untouched in this ground-breaking establishment.  Drawing inspiration from the stylistic zenith of Shangai’s 1930’s, this enthralling space catapults patrons into the present with a star-shaped monochrome tiled floor motif, the points of which undulate across the space.

And as eye-catching as the lime green velvet and the black marble may be, there is no denying the arresting focal point that is Song Qi’s magnificent brass bar, where you will be surely exuding nobility upon first sip.
