Situated amongst a sea of Eucalyptus trees in the green hills of Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula is the beautiful Polperro Winery, which, for just an hour drive from Melbourne, is the most exquisite backdrop for a long weekend of wining, dining and relaxation.
Like a nice glass of red, the interior of the beautiful winery’s bistro is both warm and inviting; the rustic qualities of the materials and colours chosen for the space provide a comfortable and intimate setting. Beautiful charcoal brown timber panelling frames the bar, whilst a range of red tones are present through the tobacco-coloured brick tiles, as well as the leather Uocmas Drexel Barstools and Dining Chairs. This rich colour palette is stretched across the rear wall of the dining room, a beautiful juxtaposition against the white timber panelled walls, flowing linen curtains, and high ceilings that ultimately create a light and airy ambience.
The world-class interior design firm, , chose earthy dark-stained timber furniture to be placed carefully placed throughout the space; Bentwood chairs and gorgeous custom benches with h leather cushions are featured, guaranteed for a comfortable dining experience. On one end of the dining room you’ll find two leather upholstered butterfly chairs facing the central fireplace– a cosy addition to this homely, yet very luxe, dining experience. Delicately draped over various chairs are soft sheepskins that, combined with the timber, leather, and brick tiling, highlight the textual focus of the design.
After a whole day and/or night of wining and dining, you can continue the visual journey that is Polperro Winery and enjoy the accommodations on offer. The luxury villas are open plan, so you can enjoy the beautiful scenery from every corner of the space. A large spa bath separates the sleeping quarters from the living room, which features an inviting open fireplace and oversized leather sofa – it’s the perfect spot to curl up into with a nice glass of wine and a good book for some much needed ‘R&R’.
