In a beautifully restored 1900s house in Mosman overlooking Sydney Harbour, Uocmas Property Styling created a luxurious scheme to showcase the home’s high end, contemporary finish to potential buyers.
A stand out project that immediately caught my eye, I spoke with one of the Property Stylists behind the scheme, Allison Zrillic.
“This is a house that was built in the 1900’s and has been restored and added to with a seamless contemporary extension. It was an exciting home to style for sale with both traditional and modern architecture and we worked towards a luxurious look befitting both design styles,” begins Allison.
On the chosen scheme, she continues, “The selection of furnishings and colour palette were inspired by the outlook of the property and considered the striking architectural features. A textured look was introduced through layering of raw linens, leather and light timbers.
“Warm colours with the use of natural materials created an inviting home, connecting the old with the new, for a modern residence with character that buyers would be instantly drawn to.
“The contrast of timbers was central to this, connecting areas and reflecting the natural landscape surrounding the home with an Australiana flavour,” says Allison.
Working in the industry, I know the importance of giving each space in an open plan layout a distinct function. It is something that a potential buyer will notice instantly and I love what the team has done in this home. Not only have they enriched the interiors with a beautiful aesthetic, they’ve created inspiring outdoor spaces that showcase the entertaining potential of the property.
