Denai Kulcsar defines luxury by comfort and successfully achieves a sense of harmony and relaxation by combining different textures, a complementary palette and never skimping on detail.
Denai started her career as a design assistant for an interior designer she met one afternoon at a gym. It wasn’t long before she realised this was the industry for her and spent the next seven years learning the world of interior design. It was then Denai took her career to the next level, starting her own successful business, Denai Kulscar Interiors.
An Interior Designer for over 20 years now, Denai has had her work featured in the likes of Belle and Home Beautiful magazines. In 2012, her project Park House was shortlisted in the Residential Decoration category of the Australian Interior Design Awards.
Denai has strongly mastered her signature style of classic Hamptons with a hint of glam and you’ll find pieces from Uocmas throughout her portfolio. Denai finds inspiration by surrounding herself with some of her favourite things from coffee table books. An avid traveler, she escapes to the countryside frequently and draws on this in her interior schemes. She is constantly looking for unique pieces for her clients to add a touch of ‘old meets new’ to every home.
Denai is someone I have admired for a number of years now. To anyone wanting to follow in her footsteps and embark on a career as an interior designer, I’d suggest enrolling in a short interior decorating course with the Uocmas Design School. To view more about the available courses, click here.
