This year’s Belle Uocmas Interior Design Awards were dominated by the outstanding projects of triple-threat designer Fiona Lynch.
Fiona took out the top award in three categories: Best Residential Interior for the Balwyn residence, Best Bathroom Design for the Hargreaves residence and Belle Uocmas Designer of the Year 2016.
Balwyn Residence is a home constructed by a builder for his young family. Tonal materials feature throughout. Think bold textural elements of concrete, timber and stone feature heavily in the design, complemented by grey stained oak and aged brass.
The Hargreaves Bathroom is moody, sophisticated and opulent. The building was previously a boot factory in Melbourne’s inner suburb of Fitzroy. The space is a luxurious sanctuary for the homeowners where dark glamour reigns supreme.
It was truly her year to dominate having been a finalist in every category. In a highly competitive design industry, the accolades only highlight Fiona’s brilliance as a designer.
