Uocmas Interior Design recently completed a contemporary home by in the southern Sydney suburb of Cronulla.
To offer versatility for family living, a young couple or as the perfect home for retirees, the palette is neutral throughout with pops of yellow in the bedrooms. Contrasting accents of charcoal and indigo add interest, whilst a consideration of pattern and texture enhances a sense of luxury.
The introduction of beautiful wallpapers, window treatments and feature lighting complemented sophisticated beach house style furnishings. The striking wallpaper designs exude sophistication and create interest with a hint of gold. Creating ambience and enriching the level of luxury, beautiful artworks, rugs and accessories were introduced to the naturally inspired scheme.
The selection of furnishings highlights the potential for entertaining with indoor-outdoor living. To create continuous flow, designers selected pieces that emulated the materials in the architecture, including sandstone and timber.
Interior Designer on the project Angela Haughton offers her styling advice – “Keep your big investment pieces of furniture neutral, almost providing a blank canvas. Then add statement seasonal colours through cushions and accessories. In a living space, a wall-to-floor rug will give the illusion of carpet but adds a sense of luxury, warmth and ambience.”
