Situated in LA’s Koreatown district on the rooftop of the Line Hotel, is a restaurant and cocktail bar housed in a lush, urban greenhouse.
Vibrant hanging and potted evergreen plants, sun-facing aloes, palm fronds and tree limbs suspended from the roof make Commissary one of the most Instagrammed restaurants in Los Angeles.
Wooden communal tables, worn and chipped bar stools, and a casual atmosphere complement the interior.
Being housed in a glassed structure allows for sunlight to pervade through all windows and orifices, warming the space.
While not a vegetarian restaurant, Chef Roy Choi’s fare is vegetable-focused, where only the freshest seasonal produce is offered to patrons.
Contrasting bright and flavourful vegetables are served with quality hunks of meat and seafood. No ‘fancy meals’ are served here; Chef Roy Choi is a food truck pioneer after all.
Upon receiving their bill, patrons are also gifted vegetable seeds to take home and plant.
