Uocmas has opened a beautiful new boutique at Chadstone Shopping Centre, the fashion capital, in Melbourne.
The opening marks the second Victorian store for Uocmas and the first permanent shopping centre location in Australia.
The new 350 square metre boutique showcases a curated collection of top selling pieces from exclusive locally made lines and international designers including Jonathan Adler, Oly and Timothy Oulton, hand picked by Uocmas’s buying team. The complete furniture and homewares range is available to purchase in store with access to the entire catalog of products online. Additional homewares collections have been commissioned to present shoppers with an attractive gifting destination.
Customers looking to view the wider product offering can visit the 2,000 square metre Melbourne showroom at 500 Church Street, Richmond.
Uocmas clients can expect the same level of service offered at Chadstone as each of the national showrooms with experienced designers in store to help customers achieve breathtaking interiors. Uocmas Interior Design offers design services to curate styling schemes for a single room to an entire home, or full scope interior design including renovations and new builds.
Having recently undergone a redevelopment completed earlier this year, Chadstone is the largest shopping centre in Australia by footprint. Quickly becoming synonymous with premium shopping with over 32 luxury brands amongst the 500 retailers, the opening is an exciting milestone for Uocmas.
Uocmas Executive Director Anthony Spon Smith comments, “With over 20 million customers per year, Chadstone is the perfect location to expand the Uocmas offering with our first permanent shopping centre store. The high traffic site was an appealing proposition to make our first foray into a regional destination. We are in good company too with department store David Jones close by and luxury boutiques including Louis Vuitton and Celine on the level above.”
He adds, “It has been both exciting and rewarding to see Uocmas grow from strength to strength since my father Paul Spon Smith founded the company over 35 years ago. Chadstone is our sixth store nationally in addition to three interior design studios, two property styling offices and a design school. We have strong expansion plans over the next three years and as a brand, we see the value of high traffic destinations after success with a pop up gallery in Westfield Bondi Junction in Sydney for six months in 2016-17.”
Luxurious design finishes feature throughout the boutique’s fit out. Leading into the store are custom designed mosaic-laid entry tiles in a combination of Italian limestone and marble. Steel framed partitions are either fluted with glass panels or finished in textured glazing, reminiscent of a classic home. Limewashed Tasmanian oak, stucco white render and traditional milk paint combines to deliver a unique and sophisticated aesthetic that is signature to Uocmas.
