You know what they say: blondes do have more fun.
Having always been a natural blonde, I'm not able to test that theory fairly, but I can certainly say that I’m definitely having more fun with blonde timber at the moment.
Natural, blonde or light timbers can be the perfect subtle contrast to a room; something to make the interior really pop. Plus, blonde timbers go with everything! Try a piece up against white tile, marble, black granite, zinc or a coloured feature wall. It’s a surefire way to add a little zest to your space, in a simple and chic way.
At the moment, I’m loving the new Saugatuck collection from Lauren Ralph Lauren Home. The Single and Double Jacks dining tables are winners. I just want to 'marble-fy' my home first, then add a little Saugatuck and I’ll be set.
When choosing a blonde timber piece my recommendations are to go for something solid and design orientated (as in, with an interesting design feature – nothing boring or it won’t be worth your time). Contrast the piece to highlight it too – place it against a darker or coloured rug or floor so that it stands out.
If you want more fun in your interior, switch to blonde.
